ODE's Tech Trot 2023

3rd Annual ODEgetsACTIV Charity 5K

Join us for ODE's Tech Trot, a unique blend of community, charity, and technology, proudly presented by Open Dealer Exchange! This special event will bring together our team and their families for a 5k run/walk benefitting the United Way and their commendable Tech United program. You will have a chance to flex your muscles and contribute to a vital cause - promoting technological accessibility and education in our community!

The in-person Tech Trot will take place on September 9th at 11 am, with a fun-filled corporate family picnic kicking off at noon at Catalpa Oaks County Park in Southfield. For those who prefer to participate remotely, don't worry, we've got you covered! The virtual Tech Trot will take place over an entire month, from August 8th to September 11th, giving you the flexibility to complete the 5k from anywhere at your own pace.

Our goal for the Tech Trot is to create a day of friendly competition, family fun, and community connection, all while raising funds and awareness for UnitedWay's TechUnited program. We encourage all ages and skill levels to join us in this Tech Trot - it's not about how fast you go, it's about making every step count for those in need.

Virtual Event begins: Tuesday August 8th at 12:01AM and ends Monday September 11th at 11:59PM. If you choose to complete this virtually, the run/walk can be completed at any time and place you'd like: track, neighborhood, treadmill, etc.

In-Person Event: Saturday, September 9th at 11 am. The in-person race will be held at Catalpa Oaks County Park in Southfield: 27705 Greenfield Rd, Southfield, MI 48076.

Registration Fee: $25.00 Donation Race Fee + $2.50 Run Signup Fee. You also have the option to donate more on the donation page during registration!

Track your run: Use your Apple Watch or another fitness tracker. You can also just download the Map My Run by Under Armour phone application to track the distance and time of your run. 5 Kilometers = 3.107 Miles and feel free to run or walk at any pace you’d like!

Submit your results: After you have completed your Virtual 5K, please visit the RESULTS tab at the top of the page to submit your results before September 11th at 11:59PM.

Photos: Please upload any photos taken during your 5K. You can do so by uploading your photo(s) on the RESULTS tab when you are submitting your run results. You may also email your photos to odegetsactive@opendealerexchange.com
