Raising Funds for Food Packs
WoMN Strong has an ongoing partnership with Every Meal (formally The Sheridan Story), a local non-profit dedicated to ending child hunger. This family-friendly event will raise money to provide weekend food packs for children in need in participating schools all over the Twin Cities.
More than 300,000 children in Minnesota live in food insecurity. Their mission is to fight child hunger through community and school partnerships. During this ongoing pandemic their services are needed more than ever. Every Meal has adapted their food gap program to try to reach the growing demand of the children and families who need it most. Since March of 2020, they have provided over 4 Million meals from the help of community support.
The Packed With Love Challenge efforts go directly to benefit Every Meal's Mission. Your involvement in this challenge is imperative to help them maintain the level of donations promised, to provide the children with food they need to learn and grow.
The event will take place from Sunday, September 12th through Saturday, September 25th, 2021. The challenge is for each registered participant to move their feet by running, walking, swimming, biking, or even unicycling to reach a personal goal by logging in their daily miles. This personal goal will add to the tally of cumulative miles for all the participants to see how many miles we can achieve together.

WoMN Strong is an officially registered 501(c)3 non-profit in the local area made up of women members dedicated to giving back to the community through service projects. We believe that it takes a village to make a difference, and getting like-minded women together can move mountains while having fun doing it.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 from all participants fundraising within their networks. A fundraising page will be automatically created for you during the registration process. You can also create a team fundraiser with your family, friends or co-workers to maximize your network. You will receive a separate email with this link so that you can begin fundraising or simply create a Facebook fundraiser to begin raising funds today!
