Get Ready to Party with Fleet Feet on Global Running Day! Mark your calendar for The Big Run 5k on June 5, 2024
Global Running Day is our holiday; a celebration of the activity we love and the sport that brings our community together. We’re inviting all runners and walkers to join us on June 5th to mark the occasion, set a goal and cross the finish line of The Big Run 5K presented by Michelob Ultra and Brooks. We're offering both an in-person and virtual option for 2024!
The first 300 registered in-person runners/walkers will get a medal, t-shirt, a locopop, and some goodies from our sponsors. We're excited to work with our local and national sponsors for this event!

Kids Run:
We will have a free and family friendly kid run starting at 6 pm! We'll do a shorter version of our run (~1/2 mile) and all kids will be given a medal! We'll have a quick check-in before the run around 5:55pm near the start/finish line. Family members are encouraged to run with their kids! Thank you!
Parking:
Parking is available in the Hillsborough Public Parking Deck behind the Weaver Street Market (please do not park in the lot in front of Weaver Street Market). You can then walk over to the start line at the Eno River Farmer's Market Pavilion (144 E Margaret Lane).
Submitting Virtual Results:
For those who are running and walking with us virtually you can complete your 5K anytime between 6/5/2024 and 6/6/2024. Please upload your results to our RunSignUp page here. Click the Submit Virtual Results button and you can search for your registration by name or by email.

Race Course
Our 2024 The Big Run 5K course will start and finish near the Eno River Farmers Market Pavilion in downtown Hillsborough, NC. It will follow the Riverwalk east towards the Historic Occoneechee Speedway Tract, follow the trail through the woods to the speedway, do a lap around the speedway and head back to the finish area at the Farmers Market. While a small portion of the the course is on a very beginner friendly trail (narrow but minimal roots and rocks), the majority of the course features paved bike paths and crushed gravel. For those who are comfortable with going off-road, this course can be navigated by a running stroller.
