Lisa's Army Virtual Challenge
COVID-19 Announcement

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the Lisa's Army 5K Run/Walk has transitioned to a virtual challenge event.  While this decision weighs heavily upon us, the health and well-being of our participants, comforteers, and recipients is of the utmost importance. We appreciate your continued love and support and look forward to seeing you soon.

Our 2020 Virtual Challenge

In Lisa's memory, Lisa's Army holds the Lisa's Army 5K Run & Walk every October to raise funds for our signature Comfort Care Packages. The event brings together families and friends to enjoy the Fall weather in Philadelphia's beautiful parks. This year's event will be a little different.  We will miss seeing all of your smiling faces on race day but we recognize that to keep you, our volunteers, and those we love undergoing chemotherapy and radiation safe, we will need to hold a Virtual Challenge.

So this year:  Home Is Where The Heart Is!  Spreading Comfort from our home to yours!

Our Goal this year is to raise $75,000! The funds raised will go directly to comforting those battling cancer.

Please join us in spreading the Comfort.

Our 2020 Challenge is pay what you're able!  We recognize that this year has been tough on a lot of our supporters.  If you can't make a donation to participate, please consider fundraising to help us reach our goal.  We encourage you to sign up and share our Virtual Challenge with your friends and family members around the world.

All we ask is that  from October 1st - October 31st you run your favorite trail, walk your neighborhood, bike, swim, skate, treadmill, elliptical, row... you get the idea!  Just get moving and show your support for Lisa's Army.

Register your miles every time you work out in October to help us reach our goal of 2,353 miles.  This number represents how many individuals we have comforted together since 2014!  **Update! We reached our Goal of 2,353 miles in the first 10 days of the challenge.  An anonymous donor has agreed to sponsor us $1.00 per mile for up to 5,000 miles!  Keep your challenge going and log your miles to help us reach our new goal of 5,000 Miles!

We ask that you keep yourself safe!  If you are completing the challenge outside take someone from your house, or grab some friends for a social distance walk or run.

If you have Lisa's Army gear, wear it and send us pictures!

Let's make this the biggest IMPACT ever!

Bringing comfort one state at a time...

Help us run, walk, bike, and swim across the country!

The best thing about a virtual challenge is that you can participate from anywhere! This year we have a goal of registering a participant in every state.

If you are a Lisa's Army supporter living outside of our home base of Pennsylvania, or, if you have friends who live out of state or out of the country, share this event with them and let them know why Lisa's Army is important to you.

Lisa's Army comforts individuals with any type of cancer. To raise awareness we will place the colors of the rainbow throughout our map to represent all cancers.

Help us spread the word about Lisa's Army's mission to comfort men, women, and children undergoing cancer treatments.
