Great Island Triathlons

                                          The Great Island Race Series is back this year and with a great new name!

                                                                 Great Island Triathlons! 

Come and “Tri” a Great Island Adventure in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds!  The Great Island Triathlons are scheduled for Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26, 2021, just outside of Lock Haven, Clinton County.  The overall course takes participants along the beautiful West Branch of the Susquehanna River for a kayak/canoe paddle or swim, followed by a bicycle road course along country roads full of grueling ups and downs and windy straightaways.  The final leg of the event is a run along Lock Haven’s scenic levee riverwalk. 

Proceeds to benefit the Lock Haven YMCA, the Ross Library, and the Horizon House. 

Long sleeve shirts and a custom bib guaranteed to all participants who pre-registered by June 9th, 2021! 

Due to Covid-19 we ask that you wear a mask and be respectful of personal space.  Masks are not required when you are actively participating.  

For anyone who would like to register the day of we will open registration 1 hour before the race is scheduled to start!

• Mini Adventure Triathlon (Friday)-1k Kayak, 8k Bike, 2k Run (This is an individual race, sorry no relays).
  • Awards given to the Top Male, Top Female, and 1st-3rd place in each age group 
  • Award age groups: Under 11, 11-14,15-20,21-39,40-59,60+ for both Men and Women. 
    • 14 and under: $15
    • 15-20:             $20
    • 21 and over:   $30             
• Great Island Adventure Triathlon (Saturday)- 5k Kayak, 14 Mile Bike, 5k Run
  • Awards given to the Top Male, Top Female, and 1st-3rd place in each age group  
  • Award age groups:  Under 21, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ for both Men and Women.
  • Individuals, Male Relay Teams, Female Relay Teams, Mixed Relay Teams 
    • Individuals:                    $60 
    • 2-Person Relay Team:   $80
    • 3-Person Relay Team:  $105
• Great Island Swim Triathlon (Saturday)- 750m Swim, 14 Mile Bike, 5k Run
  • Awards given to the Top Male, Top Female, and 1st-3rd place in each age group  
  • Award age groups:  Under 21, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ for both Men and Women.
