De Soto Half Marathon and 5k

Welcome athletes!!  If you are looking for a race to challenge yourself while also giving towards an excellent charity this event is for you.  Once again a portion of the proceeds will be going to the Kansas City chapter of pancan.org.  This organization is dedicated to providing support, research, and finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.  Consumer Report rated pancan.org as a top 5 cancer charity to donate to. This event will show the charm of De Soto  as you wind your way through the streets while competing in either the 5k or half marathon. 

Parking will be at the high school parking lot

Registration will increase to $45 for the 5k and $60 for the half on September 16th.

Packet pickup will be available all day Saturday at HARPS grocery store in De Soto and will also be available before the race Sunday morning in front of the high school on 91st street.

Awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female finishers after the race. Awards for 5k approximately 9am and approximately 10:15 for  the half marathon.

Water/Gatorade stations will be on the half marathon course at approximately 2.5 miles, 8.5 miles,10.5 miles, and the finish. A port a potty will also be available at the start/finish and at approximately 3.75 miles, and 8.5 miles.

Finisher medals will be rewarded at the finish!!

*The exit for Lexington is closed on K10 if you’re traveling from east to west. You can exit onto kill creek then head north to 83rd. Take a left onto 83rd to get to the high school.
