Join us for the first annual Bourbon City Mile! We want to create an event that will celebrate Bardstown at its finest and with 5 different, 1 mile races ranging from competitive to family, we hope to draw crowds from our surrounding areas to celebrate National Bourbon Day in style. After the run, enjoy bourbon tastings, delicious food trucks, and complimentary bourbon education in the Oscar Getz Whiskey Museum. This race will kickoff Bardstown's Bourbon celebration weekend which includes, the Bourbon Mixer after our event and the Bourbon Street Concert on Saturday. All proceeds from this race will go towards building hiking trails in Bardstown.
As a part of our initiative to create ecotourism in Bardstown, we hope to make our race as eco-friendly as possible. We will have no cups on our 1 mile course. The cups we have at the finish will be biodegradable. We will have recycling, compost, and trash bins located throughout the grounds with information on what goes in each receptacle. Our shirts are made from 100% recycled materials (mostly plastic bottles) and our vendors will use biodegradable utensils and cups. We love our hometown and want to keep it beautiful and clean!
HEAVEN HILL ELITE MILE CHAMPIONS: $300 for top male and female along with custom Bourbon City Mile Bourbon!
ALL OTHER RACES (excluding family mile): Top 3 Male and Female winners from timed races will receive prizes from our sponsors
Participants will receive an Eco-friendly race shirt made from recycled plastic bottles. These shirts are very soft and of great quality!
There will be other opportunities for swag along the way. Stay Tuned!
