DESCRIPTION

This is going to be one of the best races in Central Kentucky and we can’t wait to see you there! For this event we will be partnering with the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department for a 4th of July evening race happening right before the fireworks explode over Millennium Park. The race will start at twilight (8:30pm) with a plan for participants to cross the finish line right as the fireworks are about to go off. This will be a nighttime themed race and we will be giving away glow sticks and we will have glow paint at the start and finish line so everyone can get creative for the evening. We will also have smoke machines and black lights at the start and finish line to make for fantastic finish line photos brought to you by none other than A Runner’s Mom & More Photography. We are partnering with the Parks and Recreation department to make the 4th of July event an all-day party and we will have numerous food trucks, eight large inflatables/bounce houses, games and vendors out before the race lasting until the firework show finishes.

Corn Hole Tournament:
We will also be hosting a corn hole tournament as part of the event, we want to see Boyle County and Danville’s best cornhole skills in action on July 4th, so register now to play and start perfecting that pitch before the big day!  The cost for a two-person team is $50 and all participants will receive a July 4th/USA themed insulated stainless steel water bottle, and our first, second, and third place teams will walk away with CASH prizes. 

Race Distance:
5K-This will once again be a new course that has never been used at Millennium Park. Click here for the 5K course!

1 Miler – We will have an untimed 1 mile fun run for the whole family, strollers and leashed pets. Click here for the 1 mile course!

Parking will be at Millennium Park, 1000 Cunningham Way, Danville, KY 40422 (Please see the map of the park to know exactly where the start/finish line as well as the festival activities will be) 
 
Packet Pick-Up/Late Registrations:
Monday July 3rd - 4:00pm-6:00pm at Danville Bike and Footwear 417 W Main Street, Danville, KY 40422
Tuesday July 4th - 7:15pm-8:15pm at Millennium Park, 1000 Cunningham Way, Danville, KY 40422
 
Start and Finish:
The start and finish lines will be in the same location near the baseball/softball fields.
