Come Run For Bacon in Midway in November!
Join us for the 4th Annual Ernie's Bacon Run 15K & 5K on Saturday, November 9th at 8:00am in Midway, KY. In addition to our new 15K (9.3 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) we will have a Little Bacon Kids 1K (0.62 miles) at 8:45am. Our race is named for Ernie Peel, longtime local runner who has helped hundreds and hundreds of Central Kentuckians find their love of running. Since Ernie also has a great love for bacon we'll have bacon for all finishers.

Our 15K is the perfect prep race for those running in the Gobbler Half Marathon on Sunday, November 24th in Lexington! There is a 15 min/mile pace limit for those participating in the 15K.

The race will benefit the Midway Renaissance Inc. (www.midwayrenaissance.com). Midway Renaissance, Inc. is set up as non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose focus for Midway is preserving the past while ensuring the future.
In addition to supporting the Midway Renaissance we will also be taking donations of gently worn shoes to support Soles4Souls (www.Soles4Souls.org). Soles4Souls accepts all types of shoes: athletic, running, dress, sandals, pumps, heels, work boots, cleats, dance, flip flops, just as long as they are new or gently worn. Please bring your shoes on race morning and we'll have a bin to put them in.
Walkers, strollers and dogs on leashes are welcomed to participate in the 15K & 5K.
PACKET PICKUP The date(s) and location(s) for race packet pickup will be announced closer to the race. We will have race day packet pickup from 7:00-8:30am near the start/finish area in Midway.

Midway Renaissance - Our Race Charity Beneficiary
We are excited to partner with Midway Renaissance as our race beneficiary. A portion of all registration fees and 100% of runner/walker donations will go to help Midway Renaissance fulfill their mission. Thanks for all who participate and donate to the cause.

We will also be taking donations of gently worn shoes to support Soles4Souls (www.Soles4Souls.org) at our race.
