Lexington's New Halloween Race Benefiting The Lexington Humane Society!

Join us for the inaugural Spooky Sprint 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 27th at 5pm at The Club at UK's Spindletop Hall.  Our race will benefit the Lexington Humane Society and is presented by the Lexington Young Professionals Association (LYPA).

Kickoff your Halloween Weekend with a 3.1 mile run/walk through scenic Spindletop Hall and The Legacy Trail.  Dress ups encouraged (Best dressed awards will be presented) but not required.  DJ, Food & Beer Truck, Commemorative T-Shirts, Overall & Age Group Awards and more.  There will also be a Kids 1K "Little Spooks" Dash at 5:45pm.

PACKET PICKUP  We will offer a Friday, October 26th packet pickup from 4-7pm at Pivot Brewing (Address: 1400 Delaware Ave, Lexington, KY 40505).  We will also offer race day packet pickup from 3:30-5pm at Spindletop Hall (Back parking lot area).  You may pickup for friends/family.  No credentials, IDs or paperwork necessary.

Strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes are welcomed.  We do ask these participants to start the race near the back to avoid an issue at the race start.


Commemorative Men's and Women's Sized Race Shirts

All runners and walkers who register by October 18th will be guaranteed their race shirt size.  Shirt color and style to be determined and announced.  We also have youth sizes (Small, Medium and Large) for the kids.

Lexington Young Professionals Association (LYPA) is pleased to be the Presenting Organization of the inaugural Spooky Sprint 5K.  This fundraising community event supports our mission and purpose to provide philanthropic opportunities for our members.

What Is LYPA?
LYPA was founded in July 2000 by eight young professionals in Lexington. Their mission was to create an organization that provided emphasis on personal, civic and professional development for local professionals between the ages of 21 – 40. Since this time, LYPA has grown into an organization of hundreds of young professionals in Lexington and the surrounding area.

We are pleased to partner with our friends from the Lexington Humane Society as our charity partner.  Partial proceeds and all donations made by race registrants will be donated to help the mission of the Lexington Humane Society.
