Description

COME CLIMB THE BIG BLUE BUILDING FOR CHARITY!

Join us for the 6th Annual Urban Mountain Challenge on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 8:30am at the Big Blue Building in downtown Lexington.

This year we will have two challenges entitled "Climb Big Blue" (A stair climb of the 31 story Big Blue Building) and "The Downtown Double Challenge" (A five story parking helix climb followed by a climb of the Big Blue Building).

The event will feature chip timing, tech shirts (while supplies last) and overall & age group awards.  Climbers will be sent off individually based on seeding.  There will also be a special Military/Public Service Division for our military/police/fire personnel.

Our race benefits the On The Move Art Studio (http://www.onthemoveartstudio.org/) and For Those Who Would (www.forthosewhowould.com).

On The Move Art Studio is a nonprofit, mobile art-room created in a refurbished vintage trailer that travels to underserved neighborhoods and hosts free arts classes for kids.

For Those Who Would seeks to honor and help individuals who are resilient despite limitations of injury or disease.

PACKET PICKUP will be held on race morning (1/26/19) from 7:15am-8:30am at Proof Fitness (230 West Main Street, Lexington, KY 40507, 7th Floor)

The Downtown Double will begin promptly at 8:30am.  Once those climbers have finished we will begin the Climb Big Blue participants going up the stairwell one every 20 seconds.  We will communicate your individual start times to you prior to the race.  We expect the Climb Big Blue to start at about 9am from the lobby of the 5th/3rd "Big Blue" Building.

Come join us and CLIMB BIG BLUE!
