Each year, 22,280 women are diagnosed and 14,240 women die of ovarian cancer.  We believe it's time to take a stand and beat The Big O!  Join us on Saturday May 13th at 8:45 pm when London Women's Care presents Beat The Big O 5K Run/Walk in downtown London as we promote ovarian cancer awareness. This will be a timed 5K glow run along the south route by Tommy's Runner Shop with medals for age groups as well as men and women's overall. The registration, beginning and end of the race will be at The Farmers Market.  Most women's divisions will be awarded in 5 year age groups.  We will have a DJ, inflatable  screen TV, teal glow necklaces and more.  Our race will also feature a balloon release to honor those lost to ovarian cancer. Day of race registration will begin at 5:30 PM but we urge all participants to sign up online, save money and guarantee yourself a t-shirt.* A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Turn The Town Teal fund for promoting ovarian cancer awareness.  We always offer a $15.00 fee for all veterans, reservists  and active duty soldiers.  Kids 10 and under may run free with a paid parent however they will not receive a t-shirt or a bib.
