We are a group of women, some of us dealing with our own cancer diagnosis, who decided after participating in American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in 2013 that we would continue fundraising to help in the fight against cancer. What better way than being paid by supporters to secretly install pink flamingos overnight in their friends’ yards, then returning the next evening to move them to another paid location. We pick 30 days, usually from mid-April to mid-May, placing up to 200 flamingos each night in yards throughout Lexington. So far, we have raised over $16,000 through flocking alone. If you are interested in flocking a friend or family member we'll have information at the race.
If you have any questions, please contact Trisha Huffman at (859) 608-1524 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay events bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer.
The American Cancer Society is on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until that happens, they will be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention.
Relay for Life is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 27 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it's time to take action against cancer.

There is plenty of convenient parking at RJ Corman. Participants can expect a 1/4 mile walk to the start/finish area for the race. There will be a drop off area if you want to shorten the walk for some in your party.
We will have a GEAR CHECK available where you can drop your belongings/gear/extra layers of clothes with our volunteers and then claim your gear following the race by showing your bib number.
