JRWS Winter Trail Series: Carter Caves Half Training Run

Carter caves has some great trails and many stunning features. Join us as we explore this hidden Kentucky gem while getting a preview for the Carter Caves Half Marathon! There will be a very well marked and beautiful 5 mile loop around the lake and there are many ways to go further or shorter. This event is free, open to the public, and accommodating to all paces, including hikers. You can either meet at John's Run/Walk Shop to carpool or meet at the trailhead. Note, we will be meeting at the Lewis Caveland Lodge in the park.

In addition to the trail run there will be a 2 mile plogging clinic led by Dan of EJ Adventures. Plogging is basically trail running while picking up litter, it's a great way to help out and give back to the parks that we all love so much. For more info check out the Facebook event page.
