Jingle Bell Rock 5K Christmas Run/Walk

Paintsville/Johnson County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 5k Run/Walk with proceeds being split between the Chamber and the Hands & Feet Ministries.  Hands & Feet, a local Johnson County non-profit works with local Family Resource Centers to provide basic necessities to needy students. One of the great projects they do each year is provide new shoes for about 500 students in Paintsville and Johnson County.  The race will begin at the Mountain Homeplace Farm, located at  445 KY 2275, Staffordsville, KY 41256.  

The race will be professionally timed for those who are interested in that, but there will also be a walk for those who want to come out and enjoy the event while supporting the Chamber and the Hands & Feet Ministries.  Participants may bring donated items which will be distributed through the Family Resource Centers. A list of these items will be on the race Facebook page, such as; gloves, socks, Chapstick, and other personal care items.  Those who donate will be entered in a prize drawing.  Participants are encouraged to participate in the Wacky Christmas Attire contest, so break out your craziest holiday running or walking attire.  There will be holiday music, hot chocolate, peppermint sticks and jingle bells for your shoes!   Awards will be given to male and females winners in each division.
