Teams only: Two Dietz & Watson Grillebrations are up for grabs.
The Dietz & Watson family is happy to provide one of its famous Grillebration parties for the largest and the highest-fundraising Race teams in 2018. If your team wins, Dietz & Watson will come to you equipped with their grills, hot dogs and all "the fixings.”
New this year: extended team-building deadline.
Now members can join your team up until 10:30 a.m. on Race day, May 13, and be counted as part of your team-participation total for prize qualification. A trophy will be awarded to the largest team in each of different seven categories.
2018 Race poster now available
Download the poster here, then print and display it anywhere you can think of to help rally support for your team.
We’re still looking for our First 48 contest winner.
The first team to have 48 members registered online will get free bus transportation for 48 people to and from the Race, courtesy of Yellow Bird (restrictions may apply for pickup/drop-off). A few teams are closing in on 48, but it’s still anyone’s challenge to win.
Our individual fundraising incentive program has great new prizes.
Remember, the more your team members achieve in their personal fundraising, the more your team achieves too! Download our 2018 Fundraising Incentives flier and share it with all team members as extra motivation.
We now offer registration discounts for teams of 25 or more.
Help your team reach at least 25 registered members and you’ll be entitled to a discounted group rate for your team until April 25. Call Elaine for details at 215-238-8900
Team Captain pickup events are next month.
These captains-only events happen April 20 and 21. Pick up Race packets for team members that opted out of shipping when they registered, sign up new members and submit fundraising money. For greater convenience, email RaceIntern@KomenPhiladelphia.org by April 18 to request pre-bundling of your team members’ packets. Click here for important details about this opportunity.
Several team deadlines are quickly approaching.
Plus, don’t forget that new team members can register at In-person registration events happening April 11 and 14. Team Captains and members can also submit fundraising money.
Check social media for our staff’s pink tutu celebration video. Aim to have every member of your team earn our official tutu by submitting $250 by April 15. Also, be sure to share your team’s pink tutu video—the “stars” of our favorite video will receive complimentary admission to an upcoming Komen Philadelphia event.
Don’t discount change—it can make a big-time difference to team fundraising! Make it a goal to have every team member collect money for at least four weeks, by putting a jar for spare coins and cash at one or more of the following places. Consider having a team jar-decorating party so members can brainstorm additional collection points.
Not only is collecting spare change an easy and powerful way to increase fundraising, but it also allows more people to get involved and make a difference in the fight to end breast cancer.
Saturday, June 9 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Bowlero, 100 East Street Road, Feasterville, PA 19053
Team Captain: Jodi Krawitz

This month we shine the spotlight on Team ROAR, who truly is roaring early on in Race season. Participating in celebration of breast cancer survivor and Team ROAR captain, Johanna Conicello, by March 1 the team had 26 members registered and jumped-started fundraising with a $150 donation. The team epitomizes the power that comes from rallying family and friends to get involved and make an impact. Moreover, each member truly appreciates what our Race fundraising over 28 years means to survivors like Johanna, as well as all women who are or will one day face breast cancer. We thank Team ROAR for their passion and efforts!
