Susan G. Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure

Sun May 13, 2018 Directions
For 5K Competitors

Please note: our Race will happen rain or shine—and thankfully the forecast is turning in our favor!
We take pride in our Race for the Cure being an opportunity for avid and competitive runners to pursue their athletic passions. At the same time, we remind you that this event is, first and foremost about ending breast cancer—a disease that will take the lives of 40,000 people in the U.S. this year alone. Therefore, as with all our Race participants, we strongly encourage competitive runners to make your 5K count by registering for the Race then collecting at least $250 in donations. If you still need to register (online registrations closed at 1:00 p.m. on May 12), you can do so at the Race site from 6:00-8:00 a.m. in the Registration Triangle.

How to be an “official” 5K performer

Click here to see our 5K course map.

To be considered “official” and qualify for a 5K performance prize, you must register for the Race, and purchase a score tag, wear it on Race day and use the official start and finish lines. Tags are $3.00 and can be purchased as an optional add-on during the registration process. If you have already registered and wish to purchase a score tag, please contact us at

What you get by being “official”

Anyone wearing a score tag and using the official start and finish lines will have his or her official time posted on this website on Race day.

In addition, official runners will qualify for our 5K performance prize program.
