Cross Country Trail Run and Day in the Country

Date & Starting Time: Saturday, March 25th 8:00 am at Lynn Farms, 11580 Hwy 3049, Gilliam, LA.
10 & 3 Mile Run start at 8:00 a.m. 1 mile fun run starts at 8:05 a.m.
Registration: Early Registration is $35 through Saturday March 1st
$40 from March 2nd - March 24th.
Race day Registration is $45.
T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up: Every pre-registered participant will receive an original BackRoads and Bayous t-shirt, food ticket, and goodies given by businesses, friends and community of the Ross Lynn Foundation.
Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum Thursday, March 23rd from 12 pm- 7 pm and Friday, March 24th from 10 am-5:30 pm. You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site at 7:00am.
Awards: Overall Male & Female finishers in the 10-mile race will receive a framed print of Ross Lynn’s Photography and a really cool wooden medallion with custom race logo art work design. Overall Male and Female finishers in the 3-mile race will receive a trophy and a really cool wooden medallion with custom race logo art work design.
Age Groups: 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Trail Run Series: This year we are having a 3 race trail series. If you run all three races for the Monkey Trails, Trail Run at Bistineau and the Backroads & Bayous Trail run you will be eligible for a trail run series award. The Top 10 male and female finishers in each race distance will receive an award. ***if you sign up for either the 10 mile or 3 mile run at the Monkey Trails, you must do the 10 mile run at Bistineau and at Backroads and Bayous to be eligible. You cannot do the 10 mile at one and the 3 mile at the others.***
Pre-race, During and Post Party Happenings!: Pre run stretching and sun salutations at 7:30; additional yoga for “Day in the Country” attendees during the run and post run recovery yoga and acupuncture for runners – all under the Breathe Yoga tent; Art for children following the fun run under the Renzi Center tent; Taco bar and water and sports drink (grass fed meat and produce locally sourced by Mahaffey farms); food tickets will be available for non – runners to purcase.
Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will not be allowed on the course due to terrain, but are welcome around the festival site. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
