Swamp Stomp Half Marathon & 1 Mile Fun Run

Are you ready for Swamp Stomp Half Marathon 2023?!?

***We’re bringing back the 1 mile fun run for the kiddos! They will receive a shirt and bib and all finishers will receive an award!***

Get the kids active with our 1 mile fun run! This will be an out and back course starting and finishing at the 1/2 marathon starting line. Registration includes a free shirt, bib, and a finisher's award. Parents are allowed to run with their young child. 

The Swamp Stomp 1/2 Marathon is a flat and fast course that winds through most neighborhoods of the beautiful Graywood Plantation community south of Lake Charles.

With increasingly positive feedback from the residents and runners over the past few years we are very happy to run this course again! We’re thrilled to feel so welcome at Graywood and are looking forward to the return of some great crowd support!

The race will start and finish at Graywood Park located at: 3860 Gray Market Dr., Lake Charles, LA  70605. There will also be plenty of opportunities for your friends and family to cheer you on along the course! There will be multiple of water stops and port-a-potties along the course. There will be plenty of food provided by Bolton Ford, refreshments, fun/games, and music for all our runners and their families.

We are happy to continue our tradition of awarding jackets to all FINISHERS! This means you must finish the race to receive your jacket. Jackets will be available for pickup at the finish area.

You MUST be 15 years old or older to register and MUST register online by November 3, 2023 to guarantee that you will receive your jacket at the finish.
We have to make our orders early to guarantee they will be delivered on time for the race. You may check with us after the race to see if we have any extras, but we absolutely cannot guarantee we will have extra jackets in your size. There will be NO special orders for extra jackets or shirts! So hurry and sign up to guarantee yours before it’s too late!

Packet Pickup: Friday, December 8th from 12:00-6:00pm at Athlete's Corner at 1737 W. Sale Rd. Lake Charles, LA 70607

6:00am Race day registration and packet pickup begins. Race day registration cost: $120 (Register online to use your LAR membership discount code and save!)

7:00 1/2 Marathon Race Starts! 

10:00 Kids 1 Mile Fun Run Starts!

11:00 There is a firm cutoff of 4 hours for the 1/2 marathon. You must finish by 11:00 to receive your Finisher’s Jacket. 

Swamp Stomp 1/2 Marathon Award Ceremony 
Awards will be announced as soon as results are in but stick around, visit, and enjoy the party while we gather the info.

Awards will be given to the overall male and female runners.
Awards will also be given to the top 3 males and top 3 females in each of the following age groups: 

AGE GROUPS:   15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

10/8 - 11/4 $95

11/5 - 11/20 $100

11/21 - Race Day: $120 (cash or check on Race Day)

There are absolutely NO refunds, deferrals, or bib exchanges. 

We work incredibly hard to put on our races and we personally understand the training and hard work our runners undergo, so the last thing we’d ever want to do is have to cancel. We will run, rain or shine! Your safety as well as our volunteers is our utmost priority. If we foresee dangerous conditions that warrant cancellation, we will update you as soon as a decision is made via email and on our FaceBook page.
