Event Details:
Join us for the 7th Annual Snap to a Cure 5k and 1 mile fun run. This year we be a collaboration with Snap Fitness of Maurice and the Ramsie Kate Baumgardner Memorial Scholarship . Snap to a Cure 5K has raised over $100K over the last 6 years. The event will take place on Sunday, October 22nd at North Vermilion High School. Not a runner? Not a problem. Our 1 mile walk/run is not officially timed and will take place on the NVHS track. If you like to walk one lap or all four, you choose.  Kids and strollers are encouraged.
Don't forget to bring that extra cash; we will have local vendors selling their products after the race!  After the mile, the 5k will begin. We will start on the track and then run down the street's of Maurice to finally finish with the cheer's of the NVHS crowd. If you are unable to attend, but still like to donate, please consider our virtual option. This way, you will still get your race shirt and if times are sent in, you get a medal. Come out to support the event and to remember the girl who lived "Fear/Less."

Ramsie Kate Baumgardner, also known as ‘Ram’ had the most beautiful smile and an infectious larger-than-life spirit.  She was head strong, determined and never met a stranger.  Ram enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was never one to turn down good food or a good time!  She absolutely loved her life and everyone in it.
Ramsie gained her angel wings on January 23, 2022 as a result of a vehicle accident involving an impaired driver.  Although this world was only graced with her presence for a short 18 years, her dynamic spirit and her courage to approach every aspect of life with a little less fear will continue to be a source of inspiration for all who knew and loved her.
