Kids on the Run 2023-2024

Kids on the Run Series:
For Elementray School Students (Grades K - 5th).

Sponsored by Foster Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry of Shreveport-Bossier, Raising Canes, Wendy’s, Vintage Realty Company,  Jeffrey Kerst  Dentist, LSUS & Sportspectrum Race Management.

Directed by Shelley Armstrong, Ph.D.

A series of one-mile runs designed to build camaraderie and competition among the local elementary school running clubs. Individual runners are also invited to participate.

***Child cannot be older than 11 years old to participate in this event***

Entry Fee Options:

1) Online Registration Option:

        $30 for all six (6) races (GREAT DEAL!)

Registration online is for all six (6) races. If you would like to sign up for only one race you will need to do that at the race site on race day from 4:30-5:30 PM.    Registrations after 5:30 PM cannot be accepted

2)  Schools/Running Club Registration Option:

     You can register more than 10 participants at one time $30 for all six (6) races with a paper entry form.

   Paper entry forms must be submitted to Sportspectrum (run.srm@gmail.com)

   BEFORE FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 22nd

Awards:

Medals will be presented to the Top 10 finishers at each run.

End of the series $$$ award will be presented to the Running Club with:

1) Most Participants and 2) most Top 10 finishers

Packet Pick-up: 

at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport

Monday October 2nd - Wednesday October 4th 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Race days at the race site 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Schools that are picking up for more than 10 runners should email list to: run.srm@gmail.com and give one days notice before picking up the packets.

Chip Timing:  IMPORTANT:  All races are chip-timed. Your child will receive one (1) bib for the entire series. That bib includes his/her chip. The number on the bib is assigned to your child only, throughout the series. Keep your bib throughout the year!

If you have more than one child, write their names on their bibs. No bib = no results. Wrong bib = wrong results.

Bib replacement cost is $10.
