COVID-19 CANCELLATION FAQS
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
- DEFER your entry to the 2022 Life Time Tropical 5K at no additional cost + complimentary entry to the 2021 Virtual Tropical 5K
- Complimentary entry to the 5K distance of the 2021 #VirtuallyMiamiFamous Experience.
- Medal, swag, and more
- Complimentary access to the free 10-week TuneUp online training program (begins Nov 8).
- DONATE your registration fee to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools via the Life Time Foundation. Your 100% tax-deductible donation will support Miami-Dade County Public Schools as they continue to safely provide meals to students during this time of crisis.
- GET A REFUND for your registration fee (minus original processing fees paid)

WHERE DO I MAKE MY DECISION?
Please make your decision by following these steps:
- Go to our event page
- Select your preferred option
- Click “Continue”
- Login to your account
- Click “Save Decision”
PLEASE NOTE: You must be logged in to your RunSignUp account to save your selection. You will NOT receive a confirmation once you submit. The selection tool is to gather the information. Once your selection is submitted, we will process your selection. You may need to take further action based on the decision you make as outlined on the decision page.
WHAT FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED AFTER MAKING MY SELECTION?
- OPTION 1: DEFER- 2022 Life Time Tropical 5K -See additional details below in the DEFERRAL section.
- OPTION 2: DONATE- No further action is required
- OPTION 3: REFUND- No further action is required
CAN I CHANGE MY DECISION?
No, once you make your selection, your decision is final.
WILL I INCUR ANY PROCESSING FEES OR COSTS FOR ANY OPTION?
- OPTION 1, you will not incur any processing fees or additional costs for your 2022 Life Time Tropical 5K registration.
- OPTION 2, you will not incur any processing fees or additional costs for your entry donation to the Miami-Dade County Public Schools via Life Time Foundation
- OPTION 3, we are processing refunds minus the processing fee. The processing fee is charged by a third party and we don't have access to those funds.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO MAKE MY DECISION BY?
All decisions must be submitted before November 7, 2020.
I PICKED AN OPTION, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL
You will NOT receive a confirmation when making your selection. The selection tool is to gather the information. Once your selection is submitted, we will process your selection.
IF I CHOOSE OPTION 4 CAN I STILL REGISTER FOR THE VIRTUAL EVENT?
Yes, you will be able to register for the Virtual Event.
DEFERRAL OPTION FAQS
IF I DEFER, WHAT FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED?
IF I DEFER, WHY DO I HAVE TO REGISTER AGAIN ?
If you defer, you will not have to pay for your 2022 registration but we still need you to register to agree to our 2022 waiver and to collect your most up-to-date information. We will send you instructions via email.
WILL I INCUR ANY PROCESSING FEES OR ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR MY DEFERRAL?
No, you will not incur any processing fees or additional costs for your 2022 race registration.
DO I GET TO CHOOSE MY DISTANCE FOR THE 2022 EVENT?
Your deferral value will be valid for the same distance you were registered for this year.
VIRTUAL EVENT FAQS
WILL THERE BE A VIRTUAL EVENT?
YES! We will miss seeing you in person but we hope you join us virtually by participating in our Virtual 2021 Life Time Miami Marathon & Half Marathon / Life Time Tropical 5K.
WHAT ARE THE PERKS FOR THE VIRTUAL EVENT?
Virtual bib, finisher medal, access to a 10-week online program, motivational content, and more! Stay tuned as we introduce a Virtual Event in the coming weeks.

I DONATED MY ENTRY FEE, WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY 100% TAX-DEDUCTIBLE OFFICIAL GIFT RECEIPT ?
Great option and THANK YOU!
100% of your registration fee will be turned into a tax-deductible donation to the Life Time Foundation who will administer all proceeds – 100% benefitting Miami-Dade County Public Schools. You will receive an email from foundation@ltfoundation.org by January 31, 2021 providing an official gift receipt. The Life Time Foundation is a public charity 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, federal tax ID: 03-0533192

REFUND OPTION FAQS
WHAT FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED?
If you choose OPTION 3: Refund - No further action is required.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY REFUND?
On average, it takes 10-15 business days but some banks make take longer. Please allow up to 25 business days for the credit to be posted to your account.
WHAT IS THE PROCESSING FEE ASSOCIATED WITH THE REFUND?
The processing fee associated with the refund is the original processing fee you paid to register for the event. We are not charging any additional fees but we are unable to refund the original processing fee you paid.
MY CREDIT CARD HAS EXPIRED, HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY REFUND?
The refund can only be posted to the same card you used to register. We recommend reaching out to your bank to locate those funds after the refund has been processed. For more information on this process, please click here.
WHICH CREDIT CARD DID I USE TO REGISTER?
You may find that information on your email confirmation receipt that you received when you first registered for the event.
