FAQ

1: Where is the 2023 race being held?  The 2023 Lilac Run will be at Highland Park at the Lilac Festival in its original location.

2: What are the event options for 2023?  Answer:  We are offering events for everyone!  There will be an in-person 5K & 10K option to be held on Sunday, May 21st as well as well the Virtual 5K & Virtual 10K which can be completed anytime between May 12th and May 21st.

3: What is included in my registration?  Answer:  It depends on your event chosen.  Virtual events include a giveaway item (short sleeve shirt) medal and a virtual bib.  LIVE events include the same items plus a physical high-quality bib and post race food and after party.

4: How do I guarantee getting an event t-shirt?  Answer: Register by Sunday, April 30th to be guaranteed an event t-shirt for all the events (5K & 10K in person and virtual, & Dunkin' Dash) or the upgrade item.

5: Tell me more about the Giveaway Options!  Answer: Included in your registration is a short sleeve blended shirt. Participants may opt out of the shirt if they select "No thank you!" or they may choose to UPGRADE!  The upgrade item is a bone colored crewneck sweatshirt!

6: When and how can I log my Virtual results? When will I get my swag?  Answer: The Virtual 5K and Virtual 10K will open up for recording of results starting on Friday, May 12th and will be open thru the in person 2023 event on Sunday, May 21st 2022. You may log your results via self-service by going to your RunSignUp profile, finding our event in your "Upcoming Events" or "Past Events" and then clicking on "Submit Results". If you choose to have your swag shipped to you during registration those items will be mailed out will after the in person race starting the week of May 22nd, 2023.

7: How do I change my Giveaway option?  Answer: You may do so via self-service thru Sunday, April 30th by going to your RunSignUp profile, finding our event in your "Upcoming Events" and then clicking on "Manage Registration".  From there simply find the item in the left menu of items to make the changes.  Starting Monday, May 1st any change requests must be sent via email for us to process.

8: When and where is Packet Pickup?  Answer: Pre-Race Packet Pickup will be on Friday, May 19th from 10am to 7pm and Saturday, May 20th from 10am to 5pm.  Pre packet pick up is held at Medved Running & Walking Outfitters at 3400 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14618.  Race day packet pick up will begin at 7am and will take place in the Special Events Tent on the Lilac Festival grounds. Both in person, virtual and Dunkin' Dash participants will grab their items here.  Virtual participants that added the shipping option will receive their items the week after the event. 

9: How does the Dunkin' Dash work?  Answer: One mile, and donuts!  Participants will run a half mile, get their donut to go, and then run a half mile back to the finish line.  It is the perfect family friendly event for everyone!  The event begins at 11:30am on Sunday, May 21st. Dunkin' Dashers can pick up their t-shirt at Medved Running & Walking Outfitters during packet pick up times.
