ENTRY FEES

$30 ($24 of which is a direct donation to Danny’s Fund)

Option to make additional donations (Brooks and Charm City Run will be matching extra donations up to $2,500). If you donate $25 or more you will be entered into a raffle for a Brooks outfit. Top, bottom, and shoes.

Registration Options: You have the option to register as an Individual or a team member.
1. Individual - You can run any amount of time up to the full 24 Hours.
2.Team Member - You can create a new team or join an existing team during the registration process. See how many miles your team can accumulate!

There are no refunds of entry given for this event.

SCHEDULE

Wednesday, June 7th

4:45pm: Bib and Shirt Pick-up begins (Bib and Shirt pickup will continue throughout the event) - Location - inside Charm City Run Annapolis 
5:45pm: Pre-run meeting at Charm City Run Annapolis (attendance required for those starting at 6:00pm)
6:00pm: Run start*

Thursday, June 8th
6:00pm: Run end

*Runners may start any time between 6:00pm on Wednesday, June 7th and 6:00pm on Thursday, June 8th. All runners must check in at the Charm City Run store before they start the run.

AMENITIES

Brooks Podium T-shirt guaranteed to registrants signed up by May 23, 2023.

Fuel and hydration throughout the race: Packaged food and Hydration Station (participants are encouraged to bring own fuel and hydration).

Bathrooms:  Restrooms are available inside the Town Center building, and one port-a-pot is placed on course.

TIMING

All runners receive a bib number with timing chip that will count the number of laps run when passing over the start/finish line. Total distance will be calculated by the number of completed laps during the official time period.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

.94 mile paved loop around the Annapolis Town Center (the course may vary from past years due to construction). This route does include crossings over Town Center entrances/exits that are not closed to traffic, so all runners must pay attention and yield as needed. Final course is subject to change.

AWARDS

-Charm City Run Gift Card and a pair of Brooks shoes for the male/female/nonbinary overall winners (longest distance traveled in 24 hours).
-Charm City Run Gift Cards to the top M/F in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
-Prize for the top "unlimited size" team (total distance traveled by team over 24 hours)
-Prize for the top "2-person" team (total distance traveled by team over 24 hours)
-NEW THIS YEAR: A Finishers Belt Buckle for anyone who runs 100 miles or more!

RACE REQUIREMENTS

- Runners starting at the official start time (6:00pm) must attend the pre-race meeting at 5:45pm.
- All runners must check in before they start
- All runners must wear their bibs so they are visible while running
- All runners must have reflective gear, lights and/or headlamps after dark (9pm to 5am)

BENEFICIARY

In 2016 Danny’s Fund was created in memory of a loving son and brother who lost his battle to addiction and is a component fund of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County.  Contributions raised from this event will be directed towards purposes and causes that could help change the course of addiction in Anne Arundel County.

The purpose of Danny's Fund is to provide financial assistance to those struggling with substance abuse disorder. Recipients are entities focused on helping others to make the necessary life changes towards a new life of recovery and sobriety. A recent example of a contribution made from Danny’s Fund, was a gift made to The Light House Bistro in Annapolis. The Bistro helps to provide a career path and jobs to those willing to study and work hard to change their lives. If you stop by The Bistro, you will see “Danny’s chair” facing the kitchen, with the inscription “In loving memory, Chef Daniel” on the back.

We want to be completely transparent with our policies regarding refunds, deferrals, and cancellations. If you are interested in signing up for this race please read this section carefully prior to registering. All interested participants will be shown these policies during the registration process and must agree to adhere to them in order to be admitted to the event.

Refunds

Race registration fees (and the processing charge from RunSignup) are not refundable. These funds are used to pay for race premiums, permits, supplies, staffing, and other costs incurred before, during, and after the event is held. To be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy.

Deferrals

We offer the option for registrants to defer their entry to the following year's event based on Charm City Run's General Deferral fee schedule:

Until May 24, 2023 (2 weeks prior to race day) - $15.00
May 25, 2023 - June 6, 2023 (within 2 weeks of race day) - $30.00. 

Registrants may defer their entry by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.

Transfers

We offer the option for registrants to transfer their entry to another eligible participant up to June 6, 2023. After this deadline passes we are unable to allow transfers as race materials have been prepped for the event. Again, to be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy. Registrants may transfer their entry to another registrant by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.

Cancellation

2020 showed just how unpredictable our world can be, and the running industry was certainly no exception. We know that it's important to have as much information at your disposal when making a decision whether to sign up for a race or not, and we want you to know exactly what your options will be should the 2023 in-person race not be able to take place as originally planned. Our regular cancellation policy found here covers scenarios that could prompt the cancellation of an event including weather, local emergencies, public health emergencies, etc. If you have any questions about our cancellation policy please email us at events@charmcityrun.com PRIOR to registering.
