Description

It's time to register for Central Elementary School's April Fool's Fun Run which will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2017.  Yes, we have an exciting new theme this year and we are excited for our students and families to come out and support our school! The Tiger Trot is the PTA's largest annual fundraiser!  Last year we raised over $38,000 that went directly back to classroom enhancements.  It's a great springtime race for our family and friends. The course is flat and fast and is contained entirely on the school campuses of CES, Central Middle and South River High School.  Please come out and support the children of CES! 

Our April Fools' Fun Run Details!

Welcome to the Central Elementary April Fool's Fun Run! We are excited to get all of our families and friends involved to make this year's race the best Tiger Trot yet! Medals will be handed out to ALL registered children under the age of 12 as they cross the finish line either walking or running! There will be an assortment of April Fool's Day Fun along the course, a DJ and food at the finish line. You can still run your fastest, or just enjoy the course by walking either the 5k, 1 mile or BOTH! Your registration fee covers both races!! 

An April Fool's themed t-shirt will be optional for you to purchase again this year! Remember the artwork from this year's student winner will be displayed on front of the t-shirt and our sponsors will be on the back.  We know how much our children enjoy creating their own designs. Make sure to order early as t-shirts will only be available for purchase until March 14th to give us ample time for production and delivery. There will be no exceptions!

Don't forget our Pre-Race dinner the night before on March 31st at 6:00 pm. As always, there will be fantastic items auctioned off and this year no food!  APRIL FOOLS!  This year we will serve pizza and salad to all!  So come hungry!!

Last year, over $38,000 was raised and went directly to our school. Just imagine what we can provide for our children in the next school year! We can easily hit $40,000 with your support!

Our local community sponsors are KEY for this race, and there will be several benefits to our local businesses based on their sponsorship level. We rely on our community to help provide our children with their classroom enhancements! If you know of anyone with a small business, this is the race to get involved. Tables will be available for all sponsors on race day. If you have any sponsorship questions or wish to be a sponsor, feel free to contact Jill Sohan ttsponsorship@mycentralpta.org.

If you'd rather register by paper, simply fill out the paper registration and return it along with your payment to your child's teacher. March 24th will be the last day paper registrations are accepted.

Pick up your race bibs and t-shirts on March 31st during the Dinner/Silent Auction or on race day.

Be ready to run, walk and have fun!  We will see you there Tigers!!!

March 31st Timeline

Pizza Dinner, Auction, Tiger Trot bib and t-shirt pick-up

6:00pm - Doors open and dinner will be ready to serve. Pick up for race bib and t-shirts will be located at the                        registration tables in the hallway. Same day dinner tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

7:00pm - Live auction of the student artwork that every student at CES had a hand in creating. 

7:30pm - Bidding closes for all baskets.

7:45pm - Check out begins

         

April 1st (Race Day) Timeline - Rain or Shine!

**Parking will not be allowed at CES. We encourage you to come early and park at the old Sojourner-Douglass College parking lot, along the street, and at SRHS. Cars will not be allowed to pass through after 7:45am! 

7:00am - Race Day registration, bib and t-shirt pick up begins

7:30am - Warm up with the Navy Sprint Football team and Results U

7:50am - CES Honors Chorus will sing the National Anthem

7:55am - 1 Mile Fun Run runners line up

8:00am - 1 Mile Fun Run begins

8:30am - 5K Fun Run begins
