Empowering Action 5K, 1K Kids Fun Run, Live Concert, and Food Truck Festival - Run to give the impoverished a hand up, not merely a handout
Come out for a great morning of running and support the Empowering Action 5K. Registered runners will receive a unisex Tech T Shirt. The 5K starts at 8:00am and runs on a USATF certified course through the Seneca Creek State Park. The rolling course is a great way to start the day! Prizes for the 5K race: 1st place male and female finisher in the ten year age groups and 1st place male and female overall. After the 5K is over there is a 1K Kids Fun Run on the Expo Field. Then there will be a live concert, kids activities, food truck festival and picnic by the lake.
Empowering Action (EA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that combats spiritual and physical poverty throughout the world. Through its Empowerment Centers and Abundant Life Programs, EA helps people lift themselves up from extreme poverty to a self-sustaining, low-income standard of living. EA gives people a hand up, not merely a handout.
