Show your school spirit for your favorite Maryland university by wearing the university colors or logo-branded gear to run this race through the heart of downtown Hagerstown! If you're an alumnus or you're currently attending or plan to attend a Maryland university, or if you just have a favorite, please don the school colors and help that university win the Spirit Award! The University System of Maryland at Hagerstown (USMH) will host this 5k run to celebrate the launch of two new health sciences programs to be offered through the center. The race will start at the new Agnita M. Stine Schreiber Health Sciences Center and pass by The Antietam, a new student housing facility, before winding through the town, including the cultural trail and finishing across from University Plaza adjacent to the main USMH building. All proceeds benefit the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown.
Registration opens at 8 am in University Plaza (adjacent to USMH) and the race starts at 9 am.
This is an easy, relatively flat course, with one steep downhill stretch.
