|Erin's Run 5K||
Time10:00AM EDT - 12:00PM EDT
|Registration ends April 26, 2018 at 11:59pm EDT|
UPDATE 4/21/18 - due to a very high number of registrations this year we cannot guarantee T-Shirts in everyone's size for those who have registered after 4/14. We will try our best to match people up, but we make no promises!
Update 4/19/18 - due to construction near the Bangor Waterfront, we will be using a slightly modified course this year. The race will begin and end in the same spot near the crosswalk southwest of the compass on the Waterfront. It runs south along the river to Dutton Street as usual, travels up to Main Street, and then in the right-most lane of Main Street to Railroad Street. In the past we have then looped people up Summer, by the Police Station, and down May Street for a return to the Waterfront and a second loop. Instead this year we will send people right down Railroad to Front Street, where people will turn left to run about 50 yards short of the Sea Dog, and then they will turn around and come back to the Start/Finish line and run the same loop for a second time. On the second loop once the runners come down Railroad to Front, they will just turn right to head to the finish line rather than turn left to go back towards Sea Dog.
Erin's Run is an annual 5K road race and walk in memory of Bangor native Erin Woolley. The race raises money for the causes that were important to Erin, including Partners for Peace (formerly Spruce Run-Womancare Alliance), the University of Maine Swimming & Diving Program, the aquatics program at the Bangor YMCA, and a scholarship at Bangor High School.
