Description

Join us on June 28, 2015 for more bands, more fun, and an amazing run in the twin cities of Lewiston and Auburn ME!

NEW THIS YEAR!! All events will be run on the same course with the 5k doing 1 loop, the 10k doing 2 loops, and the 1/2 Marathon doing 4 Loops. 

Mission Race proceeds benefit Museum L-A's mission to strengthen community and connections between generations by documenting and celebrating the economic, social, and technological legacy of L-A and its people.

Description BANDS ON THE RUN HALF MARATHON, 10K, & 5K
This is our fourth event and we have worked to make it twice as much fun at last year! It will be held on June 28, 2015 and will feature popular bands playing along a course that crosses the Androscoggin River twice. Join Zumba dancers as they shake and turn to the beat at the start line! Food, fun and much more!

KIDS' COURSE CHALLENGE! 
An exciting fitness  event for 5 to 12 year olds! The course is a self-paced, non-timed event aimed to encourage fitness and fun, and to complete the course. A $5 entry fee will be charged per child. Scholarships will be available upon request. Call 207-333-3881 for an application. 

General Information

Online Registration closes on Friday June 26th at 6:00pm 

START TIMES
5Km 8:00am,    10km     8:10am,       Half Marathon 8:20am

Kids Obstacle Course: 9:00 a.m. 

Time Limit: 3 hours, please note all streets will be open after 11:20am. There will be no corner volunteers or police after this time. 

RACE AMENITIES
A post-race festival will be held in Simard Payne Park. Half marathon finishers will receive a unique medallion.  Each racer will receive a specially designed food box from Fitful. In addition to the usual post-race beverages and food, there will be a post-race massage, various vendors, and a live bands. Runners who are 21 and older will receive a ticket for a free beer. NEW THIS YEAR! All entrants will recieve an Official BOTR Bandana!

CHIP TIMING
A disposable timing chip will be attached to the back of your bib, just wear it as you would any bib. The timing company will post "live" scrolling results on TV monitors near the finish line.
