The Defeat Depression Dash
presented by the National Network of Depression Centers and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Depression Center
Mental health and fitness is just as important to one's overall well-being as is physical fitness. The National Network of Depression Centers and the University of Michigan Comprehensive Depression Center, in partnership with the Wolverine Support Network, invite runners and walkers of all ages to join them on Saturday, October 15 for the 2nd Annual Defeat Depression Dash. This event, which features a 5K run/walk, a mile fun run/walk, and a FREE kids' dash is professionally managed by Epic Races, Southeast Michigan's premier multisport race company.

What's better than enjoying an invigorating run or walk on a beautiful morning? Sharing it with friends! Spread the sunshine with your loved ones by forming a team and participating in the Defeat Depression Dash together! Give your group a unique name and consider outfitting your group in a fun way to bring smiles to the faces of your fellow runners and walkers!
The Defeat Depression Dash also features special pricing for youth 18 and under, college students, and for military service members, veterans, and military dependents!
Unable to join us in person on October 15? Participate in spirit by signing up for our Virtual 5K! You'll have from September 1 to October 15 to complete your 5K running or walking anywhere you choose: around your neighborhood, on the track, on the treadmill, even at another event. Share your finish time and any photos you have on the Defeat Depression Dash Facebook page once you've completed your Virtual 5K. You'll receive the same race shirt and finisher's medal the in-person participants will get at the race!
