Getting Started

Participants will check-in and start from the Mike's Team Active Bikes (22 West Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49015). Check-in will vary depending on the route chosen. Riders must check-in at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time. This event is not timed, and is not a race. Riders will be given route information, as well as tickets for each ice cream stop at check-in.

The Course

For complete route information and ride maps, please CLICK HERE. The course will be thoroughly marked and color coded for the single scoop, double scoop, and snack pack riders. This is not a closed route, and riders are therefore advised to exercise caution and display safe riding etiquette.

The double scoop route is 62 miles. The single scoop route is 40 miles. All routes are subject to change based on current road conditions and construction at the time of the event.

The Ice Cream

The Double Scoop route will include stops at Station 66, Turkeyville and Lickity Split. The Single Scoop will include stops at Station 66 and Turkeyville. NEW this year, the double scoop route will also include a stop at Dark Horse Commons for a special ice cream flavor treat! Each ice cream stop will have a specified menu for riders to choose from as part of their registration. Riders are responsible for any additional purchases they may choose to make. We would advise riders to not get your ice cream to go, as it makes quite the mess in your jersey pocket....we've tried.

Single Scoop riders will have the pleasure of sampling some of Station 66s finest flavors (or opt for their infamous donuts instead) as well as Lickity Split.

Snack Pack riders will ride a scenic loop out to Lickity Split and back. (This is a common route for the Monday night ice cream ride hosted by the Trek Bicycle Store).

Important Details

  • Helmets are REQUIRED. Riders will not be allowed to particpate without one. When checking in, riders must have their helmets with them.
  • All riders need to be back to Team Active no later than 4:00pm.
  • Riders must obey all traffic laws. If any rider is caught not obeying traffic laws or riding in a manner that is deemed unsafe, they will be removed from the course.
  • Flashers, or blinking lights are highly recommended for increased visibility.

The After Party

If stuffing your face with sweet, cold goodness was not enough, you will be greeted at the finish with a post-ride meal that is included with your registration. Again, we will be checking all riders in at the finish. If you do not plan to stay, please check-in to let us know you have made it back or we start calling....your mom, your sister, facebook stalking to make sure you are ok!
