The Honey Creek Duathlon is back in 2018 for the 7th year. The race is compromised of three legs that will take you in and around Townsend Park, and Cannon Township including historic Cannonsburg Village. The race starts with a 2.5k(1.5 miles) run then transitions to a 22k (13.7 miles) bike and finishes with a 5k (3.1 miles) run. The race starts and ends in front of the Honey Creek Inn on Cannonsburg road. Immediately following the main race, the after party will begin under the tent in the parking lot between the Honey Creek Inn and the Cannonsburg Bottleshop. The after party will go till around 4 pm.
The Kid's Fun Race will start after the main race at around 11:15 am. All participants and parents should meet at the designated area in front of the Honey Creek Inn by 11:00 am. The race is a free race for children ages 6-12 years old. The race itself is a shorter version of the main race starting with a 1/4 mile run to a 1/2 mile bike and then a 1/4 mile run back to the finish line. Registration for the Kid's Fun Race can be done online or on race day up to 11:00 am. All kids participating must wear a helmet during the bike portion of the race.

All racers are required to enter and exit the transition area between the race legs. Please note that the transition area is in a dirt parking lot. While we do our best to remove large stones, it is recommended participants bring buckets or small carpet tiles to change in and out of shoes or clothing. Before the race, family or spectators are allowed until 9:15 am. After the race begins, only participants are allowed in the transition area. The transition area will open for finishers to grab their gear only after every participant has begun their third leg of the race.
We are always in need for race day volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Aaron Reichel at 616-874-7849.
