Rhonda Walker Foundation celebrates the 11th annual Give and Get Fit Health and Fitness events on Saturday, July 31, 2021 (Fitness Classes) and Sunday, August 1, 2021 (5K Run/Walk & Health Fair)!
Give and Get Fit will bring together over 300 health-conscious metro-Detroiters and friends from around the country, of all ages for a fun-filled weekend of health, fitness (Exercise, Yoga, Pilates, and Boxing) classes, and a 5K run/walk along the beautiful Detroit Riverwalk or at a (virtual) route of your choice! All registered 5K participants will receive a performance shirt, medal and special discounts from our partners! Shirts are only guaranteed for 5K pre-registered attendees.
Proceeds benefit Rhonda Walker Foundation's award-winning health and wellness program pillar, through its five-year Girls into Women career, personal development, education and mentoring programs for inner city teen girls. We encourage all participants to become a "Camp I Can" Champion by fundraising $250, which is the amount needed to send one teen to "Camp I Can", which is a weekend leadership and self development retreat with fun-filled activities that stresses team building, self-esteem, confidence building and overcoming barriers.

RWF Senior. Kissiah has been a member of our Girls into Women Program for five years. She attends Cass Technical High School and is looking forward to a career in law enforcement after college.
"Being in the foundation has allowed me to be fearless. With all of the mentors we have, I've met so many different women who empower me to know that no matter which way I go, I will be somebody. Look at all of these amazing women who are somebody. If they can do it, why can't I with all of the support and encourage I have received as a member of the RWF Girls into Women program." - Kissah, RWF Class of 2021
