Description
The Development Center of Detroit announces its second annual River Splash Dash 5K Run/1 Mile Fun Walk event that will take place along the scenic Detroit Riverfront & Dequindre Cut. There will be fun for all ages and the event supports a great cause!
DCI is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of individuals, families and the community by meeting behavioral health, social and vocational needs through a continuum of prevention, treatment and training services.

Start Time:
The 5K Run & Walk events will start at 9:10 AM.
The Kid's Fun Run will start at 10:30 AM.
Registration:
Online registration will be available until Friday, July 11, at 12 noon.
Register by mail before July 5. If you mail your form after that date and it is not received by race day, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE FEE AND YOUR MAILED-IN CHECK WILL BE SENT BACK TO YOU UPON RECEIPT – NO EXCEPTIONS.
Race Day Registration and Packet Pick Up will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
Course & Amenities:
The Start and Finish lines will be located in the Rivard Plaza. The 5K Course will follow the Detroit Riverwalk Trail and the Dequindre Cut. There will be water, fruit and various food items at the Finish line for all participants.
All entries are eligible for prize drawings.
Shirts:
All pre-registered entrants will receive a high quality short sleeve shirt. Sorry, but we cannot guarantee shirts on race day to late registrants.
Timing:
The 5K Run will be timed using ChronoTrack B-Tags, which are located on the back of the participant's bib. The 1 Mile Fun Walk will not be a timed event.
Awards:
Prizes in the form of medals will be given to the 5K Run Overall Male & Female Winners, Overall Masters Male & Female Winners, and top three Male & Female winners of each group.
