Description
DID YOU KNOW? Hundreds of stray dogs roam the streets of Detroit on any given day with about only 23 animal care workers to rescue them. Of those rescued over 90% of dogs will be euthanized if not adopted or placed in a foster care home.
Well NO more, through advocacy for alternatives to euthanasia, proper pet care education, low cost spay and neutering programs, Detroit Dog Rescue (DDR) established the only NO-KILL shelter in Detroit to help the City of Detroit become a NO-Kill city, as well as, providing assistance with pet food and medical resources to low income families.
Detroit Parks & Recreation Department (DPRD) is committed to the health and wellness of our families in the Metropolitan Detroit Area by offering diverse programs and activities for Senior, Teens, Adults and Youth (STAY) and sometimes a Furever Friend, their pet.
