Description
Big Babies 5k run/walk is excited to announce our 2023 race date of Saturday, April 22nd starting at 9:00 am.
The Big Babies 5K run/walk provides financial support for medical expenses for the care of newborn large animals (foals, crias, calves, kids, etc.) that require treatment at MSU’s Veterinary Medical Center. Medical expenses for newborn animals are generally unanticipated and can be substantial. The Big Babies Fund will be used to cover part of the medical expenses for clients in need. Further, the fund can be used to enhance the educational experience of veterinary students and large animal residents (veterinarians pursuing further training to become specialists) working with Big Babies.
Dogs are welcome to walk with their owners in this event. We ask that you start at the back of the group and that dogs are leashed.
Pricing: $30 until April 9th, then $35. MSU Students $25 entry fee until April 9th, then $30
Family Pricing: $80 for 4 people signing up at the same time, valid until April 9th, then $100
Kid Pricing ages 12 and under: $25 until March April 9th, then $30
T-shirts guaranteed with entry by April 9th, supplies available as they last after that date.

Awards: Medals for overall male and female, plus medals for first and second place finishers in the following age groups (male and female): 10 and under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 and over.
Packet pick up: Friday 4/21 at Large Animal Clinic Office, Bogue St entrance, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (not available after 5pm) or race day morning from 8 to 8:45 am in the Oncology Center atrium area.
The race will be chipped timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be available live during the race and online at this website.
Donate and Receive a FREE Entry!
If you would like to support our Big Babies and get a free entry to the race donate $50. When you register for the race your entry will be free! Simply Sign Up and follow the steps to register and on the donation screen enter $50. ($30 discount applied during checkout. *MSU Students receive a $20 discount for a $50 donation. Valid until April 9th) Donate $25 and you'll receive a $10 discount off your 5k race entry fee.
*Please note you must register for the race first and follow the steps to donate. If you donate first and then register the donation discount will be not be applied.
