On October 20th we are organizing an event you don’t want to miss! It is a Halloween themed 5K walk/run. It will be held on MSU campus and will be starting at 11am. Participants are encouraged to run in their Halloween costumes. Additionally, we will have a raffle and costume contest (with some great prizes) at the event. The course will start and end at the Auditorium. Proceeds from this event will go toward sending vital medical supplies to countries in need around the world thru our Blueprints For Pangaea organization. In the 2018-19 academic year, We were able to collect and donate over $100,000 worth of medical supplies to under-equipped hospitals around the world!
Every year, the United State Healthcare system throws away 12 billion tons of usable medical supplies. At the same time, millions of individuals around the world could easily be treated with access to these basic medical goods. Blueprints for Pangaea is a registered non-profit organization that allocates the surplus of medical supplies from local hospitals and clinics and sends them to countries in need. Our mission is to address the inefficiency in the global healthcare system and increase access to quality health treatment around the world.
Our Michigan State University chapter of Blueprints for Pangaea recently partnered with McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital to send over 20,000 medical supplies to Project C.U.R.E. the largest distributors of medical goods in the world. This shipment will provide essential medical supplies abroad to help doctors treat preventable illnesses that commonly affect underdeveloped nations.

Blueprints For Pangaea (B4P) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit medical surplus recovery organization (MSRO) that provides sustainable solutions to inefficient health care resource distribution. B4P is a network of university chapters united in addressing global health care inequalities by reallocating excess, unused medical supplies—that would otherwise be discarded—from U.S. hospitals and suppliers to areas of need overseas. B4P then arranges transport of these supplies to foreign hospitals, enabling affordable, higher quality patient care overseas. With fewer medical resources to process, our partner hospitals are able to cut expenses and reduce their environmental footprints while gaining community goodwill..
