This year we are excited to have the following 5 events part of the 2018 GR Race Series:

Calvin 5k Spring Classic 5K | April 28 | Grand Rapids
The 2018 GR Race Series will start with the Calvin 5K Spring Classic, taking place on Calvin College's beautiful campus in the heart of Kent County.  This event is a great way to start your running season off for every ability.  The course will take you around Calvin's entire campus, with a section that allows you to cheer on your friends as you loop back towards the main campus.

Brian Diemer 5K | June 9 | Cutlerville
The GR Race Series then shifts to the south end of Kent County with the Brian Diemer 5K.  This is a flat, fun, and fast USATF-approved course loops through the beautiful Pine Rest Campus, down the Cutlerville Days parade route on 68th Street.  The battle of the bands along the course helps keep your energy high.  A great way to start your summer off!

Magic of the Mile | July 12 | Comstock Park
The next stop is onto the track at Comstock Park Schools!  The mile distance was once revered as the premier and this is your chance to run 1,608 meters (5,280 feet).  You will be broke down by gender and age group for 4 laps + 9 meters around the track with fans cheering you the entire way.

Cross Country Team Challenge | July 26 | Belmont
Now it is time to take to the grass and dirt and experience running as a team sport in a high-school style cross country meet.  The 5K course loops you through mowed grass, packed dirt, and gravel at the Wolverine World Wide YMCA in Belmont.  Your team of 5 will be scored using high school cross country rules.  No worries if you don't have your team of 5 yet or understand the scoring.

Lake Michigan Credit Union Bridge Run 5K or 10 Mile | September 16 | Grand Rapids
The GR Race Series wraps up in the heart of Grand Rapids at Rosa Parks Circle!  The 10 mile course takes you through the city, over historic bridges along the Grand River, through Riverside Park, and back to Rosa Parks Circle.  The 5K course runs you through the city, along the river, and over a few of the historic bridges before bringing you back to Rosa Parks Circle.  Both courses are relatively flat and fast!

In addition to receiving a fun piece of apparel, by participating in the GR Race Series, you save $20 on the 5 events!  RunGR members and Triple Crown participants receive special pricing, contact us at races@rungr.com for help with your registration.

Stay tuned for additional updates.  We look forward to seeing you part of the GR Race Series!
