The West End Health Foundation (WEHF) is excited to partner with Start The Cycle bike group to bring you something WEIRD!
The West End *Indoor Race Day, better known as The WEIRD, is cyclists racing bikes mounted on trainers! The event will be on May 8th, 2021, with the youth race from 10-11 am and the adult races from 12-4 pm. All events will take place *outdoors at Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum in Ishpeming, MI. As we plan for this upcoming event, we are proud to announce ALL of the funds raised will return to the community, getting kids involved in a healthier lifestyle through biking with Start The Cycle.
Start The Cycle is a cycling team program that introduces youth to a life full of success through winter fat tire and summer mountain biking. The volunteers and mentors provide the structure for participants to achieve goals and have a sense of belonging As a group, they fundraise and purchase all of the equipment the riders will need to train and race in the Ore To Shore Mountain Bike Epic in August.
With our inaugural event in 2020 moved to virtual due to COVID-19, we are very excited to offer an in-person, *outdoor event this year. Race swag is included with racer registration if registered before April 28th, 2021.
