Join the Marysville High School Sophomore Class as they put on the 6th annual Pi Day 5K race and 1 Mile Fun Run presented by Farm Bureau Insurance, the Greg Badley and Ryan Welser Agency! This year, the 5K will be chip timed and the top 3 places in each age group will receive awards! The 1 Mile Run is still a FUN RUN, and all kids/students running the 1 mile will receive a finisher's medal.
Registration for both events come with a cool blue tech shirt (guaranteed only to those who register on or before 2/28/19), and (obviously) pie after the race! There is a lower-priced option without shirt for the 1 mile run, if you choose.
Top overall male and female finishers for each event (the 5K and 1-mile) will be given a gift card to Pizza Hut in Marysville to go get their own pizza pie!
Shirts are guaranteed only to those who register on or before February 28, 2019. A very limited amount of extras will be ordered and available at packet pickup/race day on a first come, first served basis. Sorry, but we can't exchange shirt sizes on race day.
To be true to the day, we are running the race on actual Pi Day even though it's a Thursday, rather than Pi Day observed to put it on a weekend. The 1-mile walk/run will start at 5:30 pm, and the 5K will start at 6:00 pm. The course will still start and end at the Marysville High School bus loop, and runners are welcome to gather in the MHS commons area before the race and while awaiting awards.
Proceeds this year will go to support activities for the Marysville High School Sophomore Class. Please also consider donating after you register to the Starting Line Youth Running Fund, which will give 100% of donations to local children to help make the Pi Day race more affordable for them.
A BIG thank you is extended to our sponsors: Title Sponsor Farm Bureau Agency (The Greg Badley & Ryan Welser Agency), our Food Sponsor Pizza Hut in Marysville, our Medal Sponsor Ropposch Brothers Floor Covering, and Friend of the Run Sponsors Quality Computer Solutions in Port Huron and TP Logos in Marysville.
