We are very sorry to announce that this race has been converted to a Virtual Event. Given the recent up tick in COVID-19 cases and community event closures, the sponsors and city have agreed to cancel the live event.

Join us on Saturday, July 11th, 2020 for an exciting new event that features the scenic views of Portland Michigan, socially distancing strategies, and The Great Selection of Wines at Modern Craft Wine! With registration options for all wine lovers and runners, this race is a sure thing for a great time! This race is timed and scored by J3 Timing. This race is chip timed, so runners can start at any time and results will be posted live at www.J3Timing.com.
SOCIAL DISTANCING UPDATE: This race will feature
- Extended Packet Pickup Hours (and group pickup options)
- Open Start Line (race will not start as a group, your chip time starts when you start the race)
- Wave Starts (start times extended from 8am-9:30am)
- Open Area - start line and race staging will be spread out to maximize social distancing
- Results - posted online only, all participants receive finisher medals (no age group ceremony)
- Post Race Party - wine tickets are good any time on Friday or Saturday to reduce group size at the Wine Bar
- ***100% Refund Policy*** or Free Transfer to Virtual Race. If conditions change, or you change your mind, we will refund your registration fee!
Awards: All runners get a sweet finisher medal!! Don't worry we will have live results broken down into overall and age group format for you to view.
2 Registration Options Available:
1) 5k Run then Wine:
Run the 5k course with the rest of the field, then enjoy a full pour at the finish line with your friends!
2) 0.0 K Race
Spectators are also encouraged to attend! The 0k option gains you access to the race and includes a full pour and a souvenir wine glass.. and you don't even have to run!
FAQ's
- Is the race only for 21+? No, minors are welcome to participate, but they will get a soda instead of wine.
- Are strollers allowed? Yes
- Is walking allowed? Yes
- Is the race dog friendly? Yes, but please make sure you dog is on a leash.
- Wine's cool, but I prefer Beer! That's not a question... but you have a choice of wine or beer after the race!

- How do the waves work? When you register you will select a start time. You can start the race at any time in that window, and your time starts when you cross the start line. To improve distancing, we are allowing a maximum of 40 people to join each time slot.
