Compassionate Heart Ministries is a fun, Christ-centered, and safe place for people ages 14 to 45 with mild to moderate disabilities to come, hang out, and make friends!

Will the event be timed?

We are excited to have Michiana Timing helping us this year! The 5k route will be chip timed. The Flamingo Fun Run will not be timed, however, fun runners will receive a race bib.

What Is a virtual run?

A virtual race essentially means registered racers have from now until May 2 to choose a day to run or walk their own fun run or 5k, route. This is a great way to spend some time outside while at home! The beauty behind a virtual race is that YOU can choose the location of which you will run or walk! Simply map out a mile or 5K  route and get to walking or running. You choose the time and the place! Virtual runners will receive a shirt as long as they register on or before April 15, 2022 by 11:59PM. This event will not be timed. You may time your own virtual experience. 

Packet pick-up info:

Wednesday, May 1st from 5PM - 7PM at Compassionate Heart Ministries (404 Centerstone Court, Zeeland, MI 49464). This is for any registered participant to pick up race stuff! *If you are participating in one of our virtual events, this is the day to stop by and grab your shirt! :) Race day check-in begins at 4:30PM (another chance to grab packet). 

Do I get a shirt?

Yes! If you sign up on or before April 15 you will receive a shirt. :) Register by April 15th by 11:59PM to guarantee your race shirt. Participants that register after April 15th are not guaranteed a shirt. Our race shirts are short sleeve, wicking shirts.

What are the age group divisions?

Fun Run Route: Top three finishers will receive an award. The 5K Route awards will be given in these age divisions to the top 2 finishers in both male & female categories: 1-6, 7-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74. There will also be 1 overall finisher award to both male & female. 

Are pets allowed on the course?

No. For the safety of all runners & walkers, we ask that you do not bring your dog(s) or other pet(s).

Is the route USATF certified?

No. We have done our best to map out a 3.1 mile 5k route and a 1.1 mile fun run route; however, it might not be exact.

Oops! I selected the wrong race route OR t-shirt size! Can I change it?

Yes! Simply email kendra@compheart.org with your change request before April 15th at 11:59PM.
