Join us at Jefferson Barracks County Park at the Missouri Military Memorial and Gold Star Shelter -- or on your own turf -- in this community building and fun-raising event for the third annual Friends of Fisher House in St. Louis. Walk, Run or Roll on a 5K timed event on a slightly hilly, paved path suitable for wheelchairs, surrounded by nature. Or choose half that, for an approximately 1-1/2 mile relaxed event. Timed runners will do the "8" shaped path of the North and South Schick trails, for a total of 5K. Casual walkers can do whatever they want! Just the north Schick Trail loop would 1.6 miles (plus the bit from the Gold Star Shelter).

Or pick your own place to wear your fantastic Fisher House in St. Louis long-sleeved performance shirt!  Kids under age 14 don't need to register, but you can get a shirt for them HERE!

Help us celebrate the success of the VA Fisher House at Jefferson Barracks, which has served more than 13,000 guests since it opened in 2010. The non-profit organization Friends of Fisher House St. Louis has helped this Fisher House serve many hundreds of families of Veterans and active duty military personnel who received care from the Department of Veterans Affairs St. Louis Health Care System.

Veterans and employees of the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA): You may enter the coupon code VeteransCare to get $10 off your registration!

As part of the John Cochran VA major expansion project, the St Louis VA Health Care System has advised us that they would like to have a second Fisher House constructed on or near their midtown campus. The Board will be ramping up exciting, long-term plans and fundraising to support this soon. You can help us spread the word and tell as many people as possible that Fisher House is here to serve! The St. Louis VA provides specialty health care procedures and draws patients from eight states. Guests to the Fisher House in St. Louis have travelled more than 50 miles to be by the bedside of their loved ones. We serve them with the motto:  "...because a family's love is good medicine"
