If driving from the north to St. Ignace, parking may be available at the St. Ignace Welcome Center, Straits Park or the Bridge Authority parking lot.
Alternate parking may be found on Graham Avenue by Lakeside Cemetery in St. Ignace, then take the short walk on the pathway through Straits State Park to the Bridge Authority. The best way to avoid traffic to this location is to get off I-75 on exit 348 and follow the road through town to the cemetery.
NOTE: Michigan Fitness Foundation does not arrange shuttle transportation to the starting line in St. Ignace.
Please note, the traffic is intense in the area approaching the Mackinac Bridge from either side of I-75 the morning of the race due to the Mackinac Bridge Walk. Arrive early.
We are not able to provide transportation back to Mackinaw City Recreation Center after the run due to the extraordinary number of people participating in the Bridge Walk. All runners will have to walk 7-ish city blocks, (approximately .7 miles) which takes about 15 minutes back to the Mackinac City Recreation Center post race.
