Standing prize money for course records (male and female) is $50.

For the Kids

The Carrboro Kids Classic races are FREE for children aged 2-9 and will be held after the race.
Participants will be divided into age groups 2-3 (50 yards), 4-5 (100 yards), and 6-7, 8-9 (200 yards) and will race on the McDougle Track.
All kids will receive finisher ribbons.
There is no pre-registration, but parents must sign a release form before the events.
Also, join us before or during the race at the family activity area and enjoy chalk drawing, jump ropes, hula hoops and an inflatable obstacle course!

Walkers are welcome!

We encourage everyone to join us at our events. If you want to walk the course, that's great.
However, if the trailing police car passes you, you must follow normal pedestrian rules -- move to the sidewalk or side of the road.
Our timing service tries to capture the time for everyone who crosses the finish line, so even if the police close the course, you should receive a finish time.

Community Partners

Net proceeds from our races are distributed to our Community Partners. Since the inception of Le Tour de Carrboro in 2005, we have donated over $400,000 to our community, and for 2016, we donated $45,000!

Our 2017 Community Partners are The Arc of the Triangle, Carrboro Family Garden, Optimist Club of Chapel Hill, Orange County Rape Crisis Center, Table, UNC Get REAL and HEEL Breast Cancer Program.

Stroller and Pet Policy

Baby strollers/joggers are permitted, but for the safety of all participants please start at the back behind the runners and walkers.

Pets are not allowed on the race course.
