Description
The 5th Annual Purple Cloth 5K and Kid’s 200+ Yd. Dash (for kids 10 and under) will take place in Cary’s beautiful Bond Park. The Kid’s Dash will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8:15 a.m. The certified 5K course is gently rolling, consisting of hard packed wood chip trails, some paved greenway, and some grass, with mostly good footing through the entire course. The Kid’s 200+ Yd. Dash will take place on an open grassy field. Kids participating in the Dash will get a finisher’s award! There will be age group awards for the 5K, raffle prizes, post-race food, music, face painting and a prize for the best purple outfit. Come out and enjoy a morning in the park.
The Purple Cloth 5K is organized by Genesis United Methodist Church; all of the money raised will be given to Dorcas Ministries to support them as they help families in crisis. We will be collecting canned food and clothing for Dorcas-bring your donations to the race or to packet pick-up.
After online registration closes you will be able to register at packet pick-up or the day of the race!
