Description
The race is run on mowed fields and trails around the beautiful and historic Murray's Mill. The course rolls gently and the footing is good; no part of the course can be considered technical or difficult. The course is well-marked and volunteers will be there to see to it no one gets off-course. Whether running or walking, this is a must-see course. USATF certified (NC11070PH).

Catawba Valley Community College's Christ-centered organization, Cru.@CVCC, will hold its 8th Annual Run of the Mill 5K Charity Walk/Run at historic Murray's Mill. The 2016 Run of the Mill will benefit Classroom Connections. Classroom Connections' mission is to have a continuous impact on meeting the teachers’ needs for classroom materials for every student in our community. This is accomplished by providing teaching resources, mentoring and tutoring, and life enrichment opportunities. In 2015, CRU@CVCC's Run of the Mill benefitted Connections Clubhouse. Past recipients include the Housing Visions of Catawba, Council On Adolescents of Catawba County, Safe Harbour Rescue Mission, the Rape Crisis Center of Catawba County and ACTION kivu, an international organization that helps women in the Congo. Last year's event was our largest ever and attracted over 200 participants! An impressive sum was raised for our charity! We hope this year's Run of the Mill will be even bigger!
