Race Rusty the Raptor 5K, 1m Fun Run/Walk & Carnival

This our 5th Annual 5K, 1m Fun Run & Carnival.  Last year's event was another success as indicated by the registration numbers, sponsorships and community feedback.  We raised $14,000 gross income.  There were approximately 300+ runners/walkers, strong carnival participants and 20+ sponsors at the event!  Come and join us once again to promote health and fitness to our children as well as strengthen our school community spirit.  

The day of our event is the afternoon after the wonderful Tar Heel 10 miler & 4 Mile Run.  This was not the intention.  We hope our Rashkis community finds the extra stamina and generosity to support our very own Race Rusty & Carnival.

The Meadowmont Greenway is one of the nicest running trails in Chapel Hill... And we are so fortunate to have it right next to our school!  It is an easy, winding trail, and lots of fun to do a 5K, 1 mile fun run.  And an awesome venue to have a family fun Carnival.

This year all proceeds will again go towards our Teacher's Discretionary Fund. The monies from this Fund are spent to enhance the academic and social experience of our students.  Here are some samples on how monies are spent:
-purchase back-to-school supplies that are not provided by the school district
-improve classroom library nooks (ie. rugs, pillows) and book collections
-purchase items for the Treasure Chest to use as incentives
-supports student’s Preferred Activity Time (PAT) where needed materials are dictated by the varied creativity and curiosity of 5th graders formed in teams.

If you are a Corporate Sponsor, you should have received your code via email to redeem your discount.   
If you are a Rashkis teacher or staff, you should have received your code from the Office to get a full discount. 

EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION
5K is $28 now until 4/4/17
1 Mile run/walk is $23 now until 4/4/17

REGULAR REGISTRATION 
5K is $33 from 4/5/17 - 4/22/2017
1 Mile run/walk is $28 from 4/5/17 - 4/22/17

Race Registration and Carnival Entry can be also be done the day of the event.

All Registered Kids in the race will receive Carnival Wristbands to get FREE admission to the Carnival.  Wristbands can NOT be use for food and face painting.  You can purchase the Wristbands at the carnival for $12.
