This Half Marathon is HALF on the roads and HALF on the beautiful greenway paved trails.

*START - We will stage the start in the Atrium Health Parking lot but will be restricted to the right side of the road for the safety of the runners and to allow patients to have access to parking. Please be mindful or cars, curbs, speed bumps, etc.  Your official time will be based off of your chip time (from when you cross the start mat until you cross the finish mat), so no need to panic at the start...we promise there will be beer left for you at the finish.  HA!

After the first 150 meters the runners will enter N. Tryon where they can spread out and run down N. Tryon Street before entering the greenway trails after the 1 mile mark.  Watch for the curb! Ahh…shade, cool temperatures, and great scenery!  You will then follow the trail until around 4.8 miles where you will jump onto the roads for the next few miles.  At around the 6.5 mile mark you will then jump back onto the trails where you will head back towards the start.  At around the 12.7 mile mark you will exit the trail and run the roads to the finish at the backside of Atrium Health University.  Time to celebrate with a ton of different local craft beers.  RUN LOCAL, DRINK LOCAL
