Description

Join us, September 9th for the 5th Leg of our Races for Charity Series and the 3rd Annual Sprint Triathlon at Flowers Plantation.  The event will start off with a Flagpole Moment of Reverence for those who perished September 11th, 2001… a day Americans will never forget.

Saturday morning, participants will start out with a 300-yard pool swim followed by a 16 mile bike ride through some of the most picturesque scenery that rural Eastern North Carolina has to offer.

Transitioning to the finale, the USATF-certified 5K course will take you through the historical plantation site while seeing the various types of comfort living that residents enjoy.

Wrap up the fun-filled day with a Triathletes-and-Supporters-only pool social providing a great setting to recap the challenges of the event. (Pending Approval)

Top-3 Finishers (overall and 55+ (male and female)) will be awarded a winner's medal ... all participants will receive a finisher's medal as a keepsake.  T-shirts will be provided to those who register by August 23rd at 5:00 PM.

This is a great event for both the beginner triathlete as well as those more experienced wanting a unique challenge.

Our charity of choice for this activity is the Veterans Emergency Relief Fund ... they really could use our help!

Registration will close 10:00 am Friday, September 1st. No late registrations will be accepted.

Top Female Finisher (and Overall):  Karine Spagnoletti @ 1:12:29

Top Male Finisher:  Chistopher Caton @ 1:26.22
